I just watched the Tron film (yeah I know I'm a bit late Laughing ) I liked it but couldn't help but thinking the actual character Tron didn't play much of a part? or have I miss understood something somewhere?

(Don't know anything about any of the old ones by the way)

only then you can fully appreciate how shallow a movie the 2nd one is.

sure the soundtrack and graphics are breathtaking (and so is olivia wilde for that matter) but so many things were pointlessly mentioned or just didnt make much sense.. (example, they went on about his lightcycle, an old one, fastest out there.. blah blah, yet it wasnt the same as the ones in the original movie and then he nicked it and gave it away even though he'd already got a spare rod he picked up on the gamegrid sitting on his belt?!?! pointless! very bad scripting. only way it made sense is if it worked off grid but it wasnt mentioned.) was pap really.

big fan of tron, lost count how many times i've seen that movie.

kinda hoping (non spoiler attempt) the guy at the end isnt what you think and he'll be back and tron will make a proper appearance in a 3rd sequel.

as disappointing as legacy was i think i might be being too hard on it. it was enjoyable. just didnt live up to 25+ years of expectation. but then what can..

if y bother watching the film he says tron was killed saving him this is told when he meets his son and tell a lot a spill about what has happened over 20 years but ive not seen the last half hour as i fell asleep lol good effects thou

if you 'bother' to watch the last half hour you might understand Wink

or more subtly, look at tron's outfit in the original film, and look at the chars in the new film Wink

he did say i never saw tron again i dont know what happened ??? is there another film on the horizon i rcored the rest on sky plus so i will finnish the film Thumbs Up

the tron thing is explained near the end (during the dogfight) so you find out what happened to him then so watch the rest of the movie!!! Razz

yeh a 3rd is 'a done deal' to quote bruce boxileeglglggerrr (sic) so there's definitely a 3rd one on the way in the next couple of years Smile
