Has anyone bought these before:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mens-Black-Kevlar-Motorcycle-Bike-Jeans-Classic-Fit-/360377759101?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Clothing&var=&hash=item92afedd732

Just wondering if brands like draggin or Hood are any better than these generic type ones. Seem to have the same kevlar coverage as the leading brands, and they look nice too.
So, worth buying as my first pair? Or steer clear?

You get what you pay for imo. It doesnt mention the stitching which is one of the most important features. I'd pay the extra and get a quality pair with double or triple stitching.
Search the forum there is some good reviews for biker jeans.

Try Australian Bikers here CLICKY.

I bought the black kevlar cargo pants and they're comfortable and well made.Thought the knee pads were in the wrong place but once on the bike they slide into place.

KEVLAR IS A SOFT KNITTED NON ABRASIVE MATERIAL

OUCH MY EARS. That's boilerplate, they all say that. So ask them explicitly if the kevlar in these jeans is knitted (better) or woven (cheaper, more prone to tearing apart). Consider saying that your mate told you to look for woven rather than knitted. If they say that it's woven, or they don't understand the question, look elsewhere.

The Distance Selling Regulations protect you anyway. If you order them and then aren't happy with them for any reason, back they go. They can't (according to the BIS née DTI) charge a restocking fee or refuse to refund the postage from them to you. The return postage is at your cost.

But better to ask first.

My Hood jeans have a complete lining of kevler (or whatever they have) that runs to the back of your knees and to your shins on the front. When I checked out the dragging jeans they seem to have patches of kevler sewn in. There was bugger all on the front, not good when ya sliding on ya wedding tackle?
