Yeah sounds good, might have the new bit of fluff with me as well, so a lift would be welcomed if it's wet.

I'm able to drive again now, so shall not need a lift from Calcot, although wouldn't object to it if someone wants to!

So, if anyone wants, there's 3 free seats in the car from Calcot to the arena... Razz

I picked up a £2.50 white T-shirt from Primark yesterday and I'm gonna try to dig my inkjet transfer paper out of the loft and print one up.

I've been chatting to Robby about a possible lift...so I might be there as a spectator only, as have torn muscles in the shoulder, so cannot compete in anything. Crying or Very sad

'Final Instructions'

Please turn up for 11:45 sign on!

Please try and bring an overly-sized t-shirt to put on over leathers/overalls; just so people can be a bit more easily identified when they buzz past you - makes it more interesting to know who you're chasing!

You shouldn't need to bring anything specifically. But:
A warm jacket because the hanger doors are normally a open a bit to get rid of the fumes.
Your own helmet to avoid the dreaded 'hire helmet'.
Your own bike jacket and gloves. Some sturdy but old jeans you don't mind getting dirty if you fall off. Some flexible shoes, ideally a bit sturdy and again not your best £100 fashion trainers as they may get marked (I use well worn army boots myself).

Food is available on site, but there hasn't been any complaints when we've bought our own.

Feel free to bring helmet cameras, normal cameras and the like.

Still 7 minimoto and 4 karting places left if there's any late entries - first come first served, of course!

My £5 is on Phoenix to win.

Good fun, high lights include, watching another group who the owner referred to as the worst he had ever seen. Tot getting told off by the owner for bellowing "your shit and you know you are" at a group of children, getting my own back on bish for a few hard bumps by using the side of his kart as a brake going into a hairpin. Me referring to previously mentioned children as "the spastic lot" to steve, turning round seeing one of the mothers with a young child that just repeated "spastic lot!" Also perving over a GT40 replica. Good to see familiar faces and meet some new ones!

I enjoyed the mini moto and glad I didnt put my name down for the karting as my lift got us there after that had started.

The first race of mini moto, i was a bit scared of crashing, the second race i got into pushing it a bit and finding the limits and going over them a bit much. On the third race, I did quite well and pushed the limits without going over them most of the time.

A big part of my success on the last race was following the advice of alex (phoenix) and getting it to work for me.

I was quite chuffed that I was just behind the elite old school bcfers with no new school in front of me.

It seems that age and experience beats youth and er reflexes.

I was also faster than god (korn).

I've got a bit of a taste for mini moto now though and want to go again near me some time. Although I think strictly speaking they were midi motos.
