What cable lube?

As the title says. What do people use to lube their throttle/clutch/choke cables? Also is it worth getting one of those cable oilers?

I use gt-85 if needed or 3 in 1 oil.
I just use a food bag with a hole cut in the corner, poke the cable in the hole and tape it up, then just put the lube in the bag and squeeze.

Be careful about oiling cables.
Some cables have a plastic/nylon inner liner and as I know to my cost oiling those types of cables can cause problems.
The lining on some types will swell when oil is applied causing the cable to bind.
I KNOW this because I have had to fork out for new cables when it has happened to me

Is it worth upgrading to braided cables? I don't think they have ever been oiled, but theres only 14k dry miles (less than 500 in 3 years!!).
