Hello

Any one had any good results from a scotoiler, if so how many miles have you had out of your chain. What is the average life of a chain, does it matter what make of chain it is.....

Thanks

I used to regularly get 40,000 miles from good quality DID x ring chains with a scottoiler. I would change the chain when I had to start actually adjusting it instead of it never needing doing.

Having said that, when I took the oiler off a few years back I couldn't be bothered to refit it and just run engine oil on the inside run of the chain whenever the outside run looks dry. I still get the same mileage from chains.
