Sup guys.

I'm looking at an '02 nsr125-r. It's de-restricted, and so gives out about 30bhp? I'm looking to ride it on a CBT, so it needs to be 14.6.

How much should I be expecting to pay to get it re-restricted to 14.6?

I've been quoted £190 for a fitted kit, and one place said it's pretty much just back pressure restricted when new.

Probably need standard exhaust, carb set to standard...not sure what else the NSR is restricted with.

Hi

Standard they made 9kW rather than the 11kW you are allowed now as a learner.

To rerestrict it you would need the stock exhaust back on along with the intake restrictors. Price would depend on whether you bought the bits 2nd hand or new and whether you did the work yourself or paid someone to do it.

All the best

Keith

The NSR has many restrictions but the ones your interested in are the air intake restrictor and possibly the exhaust restrictor.
There is a plate that you maybe able to pick up that restricts the intake betweent he reeds and the manifold, very easy to put in but the exhaust has a plate fixed in the exhaust throat, this is usually cut out and thus cant be put back in.

This being said, alains has proven himself to be the local NSR pro so I would be willing to believe the intake restriction is enough, my only thought would be rejetting the carb to match the higher fuel flow?

Best regards
