yes, it has a powervalve. Next question?
Parts 15-23, N0.15 is the actual powervalve itself.
https://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j71/Drewskovitch/1.jpg
Now some of these models were restricted in the Uk and they did this by removing the powervalve electrics. There are three main parts:-
The powervalve controller - a wedge shaped black box that comunicates with the CD and tells the powervalves when to open.
The powervalve servo - this is an electric motor that, with the use of cables, spins the powervalve in the cylinder.
The Pulley - this is a cylindrical box, fitted to the oputside of the cylinder. Inside is a disc that the powervalve cables connect to to spin the powervalve.
All these parts are hard to get hold of now and are either NLA from Yamaha or cost a fortune new.
If the powervalve has been out of action for a while, you might need to remove it annd clean the carbon off it before it can be used. ____________________ Space Is Deep

A pink powerband will make it faster, be sure to change it while you're there. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

Best leave the engine standard - if you retrofit them you'll only have to upgrade the brakes and suspension. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

She canna take the pink powerbands captain , personally i'd stick to maybe installing 2 red ones which come with a bit of extra stretch. It'll give you better power through the rev range but not push the engine too far.
Stick to 2 red ones and keep the bike original and you'll be on to a winner ____________________ Current ride - Yamaha MT-07
