Stupid XXXing bike!

Why is it that bikes always wait for the most awkward moment to let you down

It`s the Copdock Bike Show this weekend and I thought I`d make the effort to go on a bike.
So I get the Sachs XTC out of the garage to give it the once over and "NO FECKING ELECTRICS"
No ignition, no lights, nothing???

So I set about pulling the plastics off so I can have a look and for some strange reason the main +terminal leading to the loom had worked lose??? and in the process blown the fuse for the starter motor?

How does this happen when I`ve been using the bike without any problems whatsoever?
Why now when I want to take it somewhere for a special occassion?
Thankfully it was an easy fix (fingers crossed)

Or is it just me

If you didn't need to use it, were not wanting to go somewhere or on the way somewhere it wouldn't have broken or you wouldn't have noticed.

Thats the thing with vehicles, we need them to do things in our life and when they go wrong it ruins whatever it was we were heading for.

I had a relay turn itself into a blob of metal and plastic in london the other day, nothing a bodged up bit of wire couldn't rectify but without it i'd have been a bit in the smelly stuff with no power.
