First, check that the engine mounts are all intact and securely done up.
The engine should get smoother and less vibey as it runs in. But in the final analysis it is just a commuter pushrod stuffed under some tarty plastics: if you try to ride to its looks, you'll always be pushing the engine harder than it's designed for. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
