Hello I'm replacing my fork oil and I'm not sure if I should use 10w mineral or 10w synthetic or does it not matter ??

I would personally use Automatic Transmission fluid which has the same viscosity as 10wt fork oil, is a very robust fluid and is a lot cheaper than fork oil. All my bikes have ATF in the forks.

Although I have long held the suspicion that fork oil is ATF with dye in it.

I certainly wouldn't be paying a premium for "fancy" fork oil. If you check it in a month, it'll be just as manky as the stuff you drained out.
