9 Months ago I got banned from riding and as of tonight at 12:01am I'm legal again. I'm pretty sure that I've checked, tightened and oiled everything that needs it but does anyone have a suggestions of anything I have missed. Here is stuff already checked :

Chain tension
Wheel Alignment
Chain lubrication
Electrics (brake lights etc)
Suspension including fork seals
fluid levels
tyre wear and pressure
Brakes

Got petrol? Very Happy If you have trouble starting your petrol might well have gone off as it tends to after standing for a while.
Also try checking your steering, if its got a center stand get somebody to push down on the back, if the steering mover freely without any notching then its ok, its something worth checking every so often... i think thats about it really.
Have fun (not too much tho! Razz)

Drink driving, But only just.

The limit, for those who don't know, is 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. My reading was 82mg.....about a mouth full of lager over.

I can't wait to get my NSR out! 3 hours and counting 'till I can ride.

Unfortunately, Another bike crashed in my village and my dad saw it. I could see that he was concerned so I decided to leave it until the morning.

However, this morning my face looks like this > Very Happy

After about 5 months in to the ban I thought "Bikes aren't that great, are they?" but after a 50 minute blast through Amersham, High wycombe, Marlow and Henley I say "Yeah, they f**king are!"

not too bad, bearing in mind that I have a CBT and no NCB, £700 TPFT. I also checked out what it would be for a Hornet (for when I pass my DAS) and is only a £1000 with no NCB

That's not as bad as I thought, what code is it for a ban? I had an undue care and attention on my licence a while ago and it used to get me a good pause on the phone to the insurance companies come renewal time.

When I got banned for speeding in my car the code was the same that would have been used if I'd got 3 points. However I believe the drink driving codes are unique to drink driving offences.

Incidentally my insurance went down after I'd been banned Very Happy
