Test rode one of these today, its a 2008 machine.

Ride went well, clutch cable might need a bit of attention as the bite is right by the bar and there is about 2" of travel and it has an aftermarket exhaust on it which is a bit noisy.

Otherwise it seems in good nick and the bloke selling it seems very genuine, its had a recent new chain and sprocket, plus new pads on the front disc brake and he will include shoes for the rear drum. Its got a few dings and it looks like it could do with a protective screen over the oil cooler but that is easily sorted.

Its done just shy of 9k miles.

What should I be spending on it?

As ever, your thoughts and opinions are much appreciated. Only one "Get a Honda CG instead" is allowed though :p as believe me I have searched high and low for a decent one in budget. <£1k
