Ive got a Hornet 600 54 plate, and a Yamaha R6 53 plate and am contemplating selling one as I prefer to have only one road bike. Which one would you guys sell if you were in my situation....:-/
I think id sell the hornet but would find it so hard to let go of her, she was my first real bike love and the R6 is just beautiful, quick and... well and R6.
As you can see, this is quite a dilemma....

Sell Hornet, buy offroader. Once you have this combination you'll never have anything else.

Depends what you feel more comfy with.
I had the Bandit 6 which is simlar position with the hornet and did 60 plus miles a day. Got the R1 and its slowly doing my back in Thumbs Down But me being me, keep the R6 Smile I myself prefer the race bikes & its worth that extra bit of pain Rolling Eyes Thumbs Up

Isn't this only something you can really answer?

I assumed you didn't have both that is.

I would sell the Hornet and R6 and get a Ninja 636.

Yeh it is really only something I can decide but am curious to see what other people would do. I'm going to ride both next summer and decide after that whether to keep both or sell one. If I got an offroader then I'd have to sell one and I think it would be the hornet. The r6 is beautiful.
I looked at 636's before I got the R6 and found the R6 is better. . .

Keep the one which you would miss more if you sold it Wink

Don't keep a bike because it's 'practical' because most likely a little while later you will miss the bike you really wanted and end up buying it again!

To me it sound like you want to keep the R6 Thumbs Up

Sounds like you want to keep the R6... but, what do you use the bikes for? weekend trips? commutes? full days out? touring etc...

Answer those, then that will give you a LOGICAL choice, but not necessarily the right choice.

If it were me i'd keep the R6, i've got a friend with a Hornet, they're nice bikes and they're quite fun, but there really isnt much in the same league as a track focused sportsbike, they're just so sharp. That's the reason I dont think I can get rid of my 600RR.

I sold a Hornet to buy an R6 a few years back. I'd keep the R6, then do as Matt suggests and get an offroader/supermoto.
