Well congratulations to Alf's of worthing who told me it was 16mm upto and including J models and 17mm after, impressive fuckup for a Kawasaki dealer.

It may be 17mm as well.
However the bigger side is 22mm, and this is the side of the actual axle, rather than just the holder.

This is for the G/J/A models, not sure about F or A models.

I have everything up to 19mm and ordered a 22mm today so I should be ok.

It turns out you don't need a 22mm one after all, all you do is leave the pinch bolts done up, remove the nut the other side which was a 17mm allen bolt, release the pinch bolts and push the spindle out.

Bah, never mind you will have a spare 22mm allen key now for those big old allen key holes. Confused
