Hi Smile

It appears that riding has spilled over into the non-riding areas of my life:

When walking in Westfield, I inadvertantly slow down my pace when I see yellow box-signs, fearing 'speed cameras';

Perform life savers when 'filtering' through crowds and changing 'lanes'...

Anyone else notice similar/same habits in their daily activities?

If you're doing life savers when filtering, you're filtering too slowly Wink.

You need to be walking fast enough to kill yourself to consider them "lifesavers".

Otherwise it's just called looking where you are going.

It's when I try to filter in the car that I have to do a little stop. I don't use the car as much as I use the bike, so when I do it's a bit of an adjustment Very Happy

*comes in behind line of traffic*

'Pff! Fiiiiilteerrr ahoy!'

*starts to move out*

'Wait... what? CAR! CAR!'

*sheepishly moves back in and pretends she was just avoiding a pothole*

'Ho-hum. Nothing to see here. Damn cars.'

I've actually stopped for a red traffic light before whilst walking back to college on my dinner hour. Came to a complete stop, realised my mates hadn't and it quickly clicked that I'd been a monumental cock.

I also do lifesavers walking and "plan ahead" while walking, see who's gonna turn and who's likely to swerve out. Those bastard pedestrians never indicate!
