Does anyone have a manual for a yamaha rxs 100? I am getting one cheap but needs a bit of work. Is it a good bike to have before I buy my Nsr? Cheers people.

Id look for a haynes manual in halfords, or ask at the library if they can get it for you. The RXS is really a commuter bike in the same style as a CG/GS/KH type bike, but its more fun to ride than a CG being a stroker. Its really light, and nippy enough round town, if its in decent nice it should do 70mph easy enough, so its always gonna leave a CG125 in a haze of nice blue! Its a pretty simple bike to work on, and consumable bits like tyres and brake shoes are cheap for it. The biggest disadvantage i belive is that due to it being a 100cc, its not any longer any use for passing your test on, even though you can do it on a CG which only just manages over 62mph, which i think is the requirement, so that you get a normal restricted licence, instead of an A1 restricted licence. |

I had a go on my friends Rxs the other day. As you all know I'm a ped boy with no experience of changing gears apart from a couple of hours on a scrambler. It felt so nippy compared to my shitty little 50. He has recently informed me that its cheap but needs a couple of things (tyres, brake shoes etc as stevo mentioned) so I am going to do it. Only bugger is I still have to wait for my birthday to roll round to keep it legal. I can't believe I can ride it on L-Plates with no previous experience of changing gear! Crazy.
Thanks alot people! ____________________ Sweet reggae music. |

I heard they were light, but thats silly, but then again, they are the chunky brothers so he is probably massive. Must have masses of comical value watching him carry it round....... ____________________ Sweet reggae music. |
