I have a suzuki gsxr400 1989, i want twin exhausts, how would i got about doing this, what are my options, is it a case of a straight bolt on pipes, are they all the same width apart from where you connect them, would there be some welding involved, thanks
this is what i mean, the twin exhausts down one side

That bike has twin exhausts because it's a 2 stroke twin which needs to have two separate expansion chambers.
The easiest way to get another exhaust for your bike is to buy another exhaust and mount it. If you don't actually connect it up to the mid pipes you'll also save all the hassle of having to mess with jetting, etc.
Otherwise devil make a twin exit end can kinda thing, you'd probably have to do a bit of bodging and I'm not sure if they still make it - clicky. |

Speak to a16 road and race, the guys there are really helpful and good quality. They made a non standard size for my 1200 bandit and I'm as pleased as you like, it's been on the bike for over four years and no problems. |
