Hi
I am not sure but the DT125r is restricted by the powervalve. The bike not having a servo motor is more than likely the restriction. The valve will be in a fixed position therefore restricting the gas flow maybe. Just have a look at this site and see what you think.https://motorcyclecity.com/messages/10725.htm |

Your DT being a 93, wont have the YPVS system fitted. You will still have the valve itself in the barrel, but on the left side of the engine i think there is just a cap with 2 screws that fits where the pulley housing would go. The valve is pegged in the closed position with a pin. It can be turned around and pegged so that its fully raised, but it doesnt make the bike very easy to ride, and you still dont have a working YPVS. You would need the pulley housing, the cables and servo motor, and im not sure if there is a seperate control box that operates the servo motor, that you may also need. I think if you really wana do it, that you could get the bits from a 2000> DT125R from a breakers, and fit the bits to yours. The cables need adjusting so that the valve operates correctly. On the Newer DT's the YPVS system is fitted, but it only operates when you switch on the ignition, and it stays in the low rpm position all the time the motor is running. I think that this is because of the way its adjusted, and that it can be re-set to open and close as it should at 6k rpm. |
