Struggling to balance carbs on a cb400 f2 can't get on the outer screws and can't see the middle one, I am i missing something simple ?

Is this bike a CB400F2 single-overhead-cam engine c.1978?

If it is I recollect that there are adjusting screws bewteen 1 and 2 carbs,and 3 and 4 carbs.

IIRC they run very similar, if not the same carbs as my CBR, which I have the carbs out of, I can grab a pic if you'd like?

its a superfour shape, got seat and tank off, screwed the vacum gauges into the head can see the adjuster screws but cant get a screw driver on them they are under the edge of the carb

that won't fit, its for the linkage screws not the idle jets

I have had some wine though so humour me; I have a CBR400 carb on my desk which I imagine is broadly similar - which linkage do you mean? Cool

It's hard to explain might have to take a picture tomorrow. The screws on the on the bit that move with the trottle, on my old bike you can see them between the rubbers on the head

try and get a 7mm socket on it mate, either that or a screw driver bit, that should give you plenty of room, thats how I do it on my NC30, for which you have to squeeze your hand between the top of the vee, and the underside of the frame and carbs.
