I've not heard of the character but wiki says this.
"Reacher is a giant, standing at 6' 5" tall (1.96m) with a 50-inch chest, and weighing between 210 and 250 pounds (100–115 kg). "

I can just about imagine tom cruise being stoic and not saying much and not smiling, but I'm not sure how he will grow a foot for filming.

Guess there will be lots of special effects to make him look Reacher size......

I find it hard to believe that there are not any actors that fit the description of Reacher......

I guess its a sad fact that someone believes that they need a "name" to front the film....
And not let the film stand on the merits of the books.

I did think of actors that suit the role but couldn't think of any that size except Vin Diesel who is a worse actor than Tom cruise
