Just finished watching that Alone in the wild with Flintoff and the programme was kind of boring but got me thinking that I'd love to do something like that. Not on my own though and with some food too Laughing

I'd like to do it some place like that but could never do it in a rainforest like the Amazon or something

Anyone done anything similar or would like to?

I lived out in that area in the 80s. I was mainly based in Zimbabwe but got to travel about and camped out in some cool places. I spent some time in Botswana but never got as far as Okavango. Visiting Bots was fun, we could buy unobtainable items like cheese and rice there.

Still hope to ride a back to Botswana some day and visit the town of my Birth - similar sort of thing to how my parents got there, though the political land scape has changed a lot over the years unfortunately.

Try reading Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer if you think the idea of camping out in the middle of no where is cool! I believe there is a film of it but I haven't seen it. Thumbs Up
