Hey

I pick this up sunday from hellbound on here. Give him karma, he's a generous man.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/download.php?id=79524

I have an NSR125 engine, carb, loom and spanny in the shed.

I've drawn a little sketch of what I'm going for.

Low, slightly longer than standard, abscence of anything plastic, and with 25+ bhp probably instant suicide. Brapp!

As for suicide I am a bit scared that the front brake is still going to be a drum brake!

I *THINK* MTX front ends fit on without too much hassle.

c90 was 27mm IIRC meaning these will drop in to the stanard yokes, might need various bugging around with spacers to get the wheel to fit right though.

The leading links are staying, it's character.

I've put H100 forks in a cub before. I may bodge a disc on at some point, I also may put an alloy swinger and 3'' rear rim on it - First things first is get the engine in the frame and lined up. Thumbs Up

O and piggyback shocks Smile

Badman Cool

But more drag racer-ish and less custom.

Well I got the bike back and got it running.

Then this happened. Laughing

I need to shave the rear engine mount, chop a little off the frame where the front engine mounts go and fabricate new front mounts.

On the flip side I wont have to extend the frame!

Oh My God!

Looks quite smart actually.

I really ought to find the headlamp/rear lenses and send DVLA Paperwork off

Don't need the lenses anymore but thanks! No rush on the paperwork it's not exactly going anywhere is it!

Didn't get anything done this weekend might have a stab tonight at grinding the engine mount down a bit.

Righto. I ground down the rear engine mount, 3.5mm off each side. I then slotted it in the frame and offered it up before cutting away the original c90 frame. The engine now sits much higher in the frame which will help with ground clearance!

https://oi51.tinypic.com/120rq5t.jpg

Chain doesnt look miles away from lining up.

https://oi52.tinypic.com/5k3odt.jpg

Next on the to do list is make up some steel plates for the top engine mount, to weld onto the cub frame. I've provisionally made some templates out of card.

https://oi55.tinypic.com/2e49coy.jpg

And here's one for scale! It's seriously light, you can pick it up easy.

Rad was only held on by the pipes, I'll mount it so it's got plenty of clearance. But i like it sticking out the sides! Cool
