Now now calm down, we've been through the flaming in the Exchange and Mart section before!

Seems to be in good nick, you never know it may appeal to the more mature riders such as Keith or TC! Wink

I am calm. I just don't like it when people overprice their bikes. Especially by that much.

Thats not overpriced, it looks mint, has very very low milage given the bikes type, and the fact they go on for ever. Its got propably around a grands worth of kit with it.

And pans hold there value very very well...mainly becuase once people buy them they dont tend to sell them. I for one have never seen a new shape pan in a showroom second hand.

I am sat here with Glass's Guide and I am telling you for a fact that it's overpriced. If we were buying that as a dealer we would give him £4000 for it, and it would be going up for sale for about £5200.

A quick search for 'european' on the motorcycle section of ad-trader shows a lot of similar or worse bikes out there for the same or more money.
Remember they do tend to hold their value pretty well generally (not that I'd buy one, but then look at the bikes I buy Neutral ).. anyway, you work in an industry that often makes it's money from seriously overpricing bikes to unknowing punters (not saying your place does, but many do).

Yes those book prices are seriously low. The book value for my TRX850 was £1000!!! Fuck that, absolute joke, worth about £1800.

Indeed the whole tourer thing seems to be a very select market, a few of my grandads friends would give there right arm for a second hand goldwing (new style), but as with most honda tourers, they go on for ever with no problems...so there kept Laughing.

Ages ago i was speaking to a guy with a pan at pox hill, I said "come on then.....no bikes perfect, somthing must ware out etc" he replied "i've done 54 thousand miles on mine....all that has worn out was the tyres and brake pads" Laughing
