Spent a lot of money but it looks good.

Will look even better when the water has settled down.

I have the same model, I liked how well made it is. What is the size of the tank?

No trouble glad to be in the company of another fish keeper! It's a good size is that, I've never wanted to bother with a tank bigger then 4 foot! I once had a juwrl rio 125 and that took long enough to fill! Bucket after bucket lol bathroom was downstairs too... Right pain. What you thinking of keeping?

What are you going to keep in it?

Thanks, yeah it was a trial alright! I had a tetratec ex1200 external, I ditched the intrusive jewel box filter. The 1200 was way more then necassary but I could control flow on it plus it was v v quiet! Was a massive plus when I was living with the rents in a small upstairs room. The fish tank kept me nice and warm in the winter too!

What's everyone keeping/kept? I had tropicals, fresh water.

My largest tank was something in the region of 500 litres, I kept my 2 Oscars in it.

After the Oscars had died, I sold it to a bloke who lived in a tiny 1 bed ground-floor flat in Wood Green. When I delivered it down to him, I discovered he wanted it to match his other 2 identical tanks.

All he had in the living room of this flat was one chair and these 3 tanks. He had another large tank in his bedroom, leaving just enough room for his bed. There was no room for any other furniture in the house.

Shocked

i once had a similar experience, i once advertised to a free home an Apteronotus Albifrons (black ghost knife) and a large scalare angel, someone in Bury offered to take them. went to their house and it was filled with massive tanks, cages, hutches.... gawd it smelt of animals.... really nice folk though.

they had an strange 10" catfish in one tank that had taken a chunk out of the owner Very Happy

one of those places where you dont sit down, or take a brew...

who am i kidding even though the house was minging i never turn down a brew!

^^ Had a similar experience - bought a lovely tank & cabinet from a couple in Letchworth. The chap made the tank cabinets and lids himself, all from scratch from solid wood, really good quality workmanship.

They also bred Discus and had a whole room decked out with tanks. It was a nice summer evening, and they showed me out into their back garden which had a reasonably sized swimming pool.

As I got closer, I realised it wasn't a swimming pool, it was a 'pond' and they were breeding Koy carp in it.

Shocked

That's a nice looking tank. I'm currently stuck with this and can't wait to upgrade. Sadly I don't think that is going to be until I stop living with my parents. Hopefully sometime next year.

It sucks looking at an empty tank at the moment!

Good idea but how long before someone puts a military vehicle in there?

When I posted this thread I expected to be ridiculed and karma raped.

As it turns out I was wrong

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 13 years, 325 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
