Hi,

Well, I decided that it was time to get my insurance renewed on my NSR. Basically, I told them last time it was garaged when it wouldn't be Shifty it would be kept in the garden. So, I called today asking for a renewal quote. Firstly, she said that I couldn't use my first NCB because it would overlap with my insurance start date. Is this right Question And secondly, she said that if my bike wasn't garaged or kept in a shed, then the insurance would rise from £475 tpft Arrow £730 tpft Shocked This is bearing in mind that I'm 18, I've passed my bike test, the bike is de-restricted and I've (apparently) only got 1 year's NCB.

So, I need to know if anyone knows any cheap insurance companies apart from Cofield.

Cheers,

Will

Don't renew your insurance until it is due otherwise you lose your no claims.

Phone everyone possible as you'll always save money. My gf's dad is 50 and been riding 25 years and saved £100 shopping around.

Hi,

Erm, why would I be trying to renew my insurance if I didn't need to Question And I'm well aware that I should be ringing round, which I'll have to do next weekend now.

Cheers,

Will

Hi

In which case it sounds like they are trying to rip you off with the no claims. Presumably you are renewing / changing company when your insurance expires. In which case there should be no overlap so you should get all your no claims.

All the best

Keith
