Hi everyone.

I am trying to find the correct headlamp bulbs for the ER6f EX 650 DBF ABS 2011 model.

I know it's not the H7 bulb (Cos I bought one). Crying or Very sad

Any help much appreciated. Very Happy

It turns out that there is an adapter between the bulb and the connector. The adapter looks like it is part of the bulb. (Created some confusion).

The bulbs are very easy to change. Pull of the connector. Pull off the rubber seal. You will find a spring clip, unclip this and the bulb will be released. You will find the bulb attached to the adapter plate, remove the plate and insert the new bulb. Put it altogether in reverse. Note the position of the drain holes on the rubber seal. Face down.

That caught me out a few years ago on my Z, I just thought they were special bulbs.

Most newish bikes are H7 these days.

H4s are a dual bulb, in that they have the main beam and the full beam in 1 bulb.

Whereas on the ER6 you have 2 different bulbs. Tbh I prefer this, if one goes at night you can always pop it on full beam and ride home and yes I have done this.

It doesn't help that the ER6 (well my 2008 model doesn't) has no underseat storage at all.

On my Z I carry a full set of bulbs under the seat and fuses.
