Nice looking tank. I don't think there's much point in me posting the same pic as is in the other thread so I won't bother. Has anybody here had any experience with saltwater aquatics and with fertilisers in fresh water aquariums? The reason I ask is my plants are starting to die off they've been in there for about 8 weeks but are all starting to brown. At the moment there are two T8 tubes running at 18,000k. All my parameters are in order so I don't really want to go messing about and stressing the fish out. If there is a natural way of doing without use of artificial fertilisers I'd be grateful if you could point me their way.

James

normally there is enough nutrient coming from the fish shit to fertilise the plants
only thing I can think of is if the PH in your tank is off the plants can suffer nutrient lock
if your PH is too high or low

6 congo tetra, some danios, some black neon tetras, ottos, a Siamese algae eater, cherry shrimp, snails.

Been set up for well over 2 years now, needs very little maintainence - mostly clearing out half the plants every now and then. Under stocking slightly and real plants keeps it very happy.

I'm not very good at taking photos tho Wink
