Update, this has now been sold.

-------------------------------------

Yamaha Virago 125 motorbike. Selling for spares or repair, and probably easy repair.

Bad points:

Was running nicely until recently then started bogging down under acceleration.
Could be a carb problem, could just be a new throttle cable needed!
Other issues are..

It has a tatty Matt Black home spray paint job, and I mean really tatty Razz
It has black tape covering some tears in the seat cover.
It has Bar End mirrors (had none at all when I bought it)
Missing right hand side panel, and has been since before I got it Smile
Has straighter handlebars than the originals (better handling)
It's missing it's rear right hand indicator, as I dropped the bike earlier today when wheeling it along to park up (DOH!)
Various small rust spots but none serious.
Clutch Lever has the ball end snapped off, but still works fine.

As mentioned it needs a new throttle cable, and possibly some carb work, however I did have the carbs cleaned and adjusted recently.

Good points:

Has just tax and MOT (to June 2012), it's not declared SORN yet, though if not sold by end of October it will be!
Economical on fuel when running properly, I used to put a £5 every fortnight or so.
Easy to ride, low seat height is ideal for shorter people.

This would make an easy project bike for someone with a little know how to tidy up, or you could dismantle it for parts, your choice, it has a good engine and lots of other good parts on it still!

While it's technically a runner, I would say bring a trailer to collect, as it has running issues as mentioned above and bogs down BADLY or sometimes revs up on it's own, and of course the missing indicator..I'd hate to see someone collect it and crash it due to the engine revving at a bad time!
Was going to fix it up myself but don't have the time or cash anymore (too near xmas!!)

£300 or VERY nearest offer
