Took the GSXR out at lunch... was going round a really wide corner... possibly a 100mph+ corner, thats how wide it is, but I was at 30, its the middle of town etc.
I eased off the throttle whilst being slightly leant over, just enough to turn the bike, no mental angles at all. As I eased off it felt like the rear wheel "kicked" or stepped out slightly.
I repeated this a few times to see if it was a one off, it appears not.
Its almost as if the bike wants to stand back up, but it then kicks for some odd reason?
Never noticed before, have noticed the rear racetec is at the limit tread wise though
Could it be wheel alignment? |

Only reason I'm guessing wheel alignment is I had the rear wheel off, even had the chain off this weekend. Chain got cleaned then dropped into some old engine oil for about 4 hours.
I'll check alignment asap... pretty scary |

Sounds like an under inflated front tyre to me. Or a badly squared rear. Both have a similar feel ____________________ 04 NSR 125(sold) ---- 03 CBR 600rr(sold) ----90 pan euro ST1100 ' ' ----02 CG 125

Could be a square rear tyre tbh, its a racetec and has done 2300 miles since fitting... just hit the 1mm limit I think. Must change this weekend, got a few spare in the garage
Front tyre is fine, nearly new I guess and was pumped this Sunday |
