I took out a policy online with bikesure on saturday for £334 TPO on a restricted CB500, it was a good quote and I filled out all my details online. Get a call today, they want to clarify my details. I'm at uni with the bike so put my uni address down online, they want to know what my home address is - tell them and then they say that because my home address is a higher risk, the premium is increasing by £87!

Told them that I'm not living at home, I'm living at uni, so it's irrelevant where my parents live... But they weren't having any of it. I haven't paid yet, but if I cancel the policy I'll get charged about £50 so want to avoid that! Where do I stand? My previous insurer didn't want to know about two addresses, just my main one. Help!

Where is your driving licence registered to?

Where would the police go knocking had your vehicle been involved in a fatality?

I always use the same address, parents house. I have moved out, but it probably wont be more long, and i'll move back there...same as your uni status.

the v5 and the licence is registered to home, but 90% of my riding is at uni. the thing that bugs me is my home address is no way a higher risk, its a village in the country and I live in a city at uni. If I agreed that it was a higher risk I wouldn't mind paying it but this is a joke.
