What are peoples experience with the various chargers that are available?

I'm after a charger that I can leave connected for a couple of months that won't damage the battery. I currently have a Ctek XS7000 which is a superb charger but puts out too much power to leave for an extended time.

I've looked at the optimate 3+,4,TM4, and the Acumen V&A. Is there that much of a difference between them?

+No 1 on the Aldi charger, seems well made. Lets see if it lasts.

I had an Aldi charger last time and I just cannot rate it. It couldn't cope with a slightly discharged battery and would switch itself off.

BCH001 charger from Bikeit.co.uk.
£15.99 + vat (trade price) retail is about £35.
I've had it five years or so, works well. It's a copy of early optimates.

Dog

Just had a look and it's called the Pro3 charger now, looks like the same one, but no prices in their online catalogue.
