Well I brought a can of the muck off ptfe tube before however I have lost the little plastic tube that attaches to it. So was wondering which is the best lube to go for as I have heard it isn't very good.

(also does anyone know what kind of shops will sell the tube or have them in)

I've recently started using Wurth Dry Lube, and find it to be realy good... no fling off, and minimal attraction to dirt

Hi

I tend to use gearbox oil (very dense viscosity, 80/90 iirc?), just use an old bicycle oil bottle as a means of applying it, it seems to last for ages too Thumbs Up

If I do use a can of chain lube, then I use Morris' chain lube. I have found that it sticks to the chain really well with very little fling Smile

I tend to leave it on for about 30 minutes before using the bike.

All the best
Mike

Gearbox/chainsaw oil is meant to be good for lasting well.

Best value by far though, is used engine oil leftover from your last oil change. Doesn't last as long, but you can't fault the cost (free!)
