Browsing bikes on ebay and found this one, not too sure this engine number looks genuine. Does this look fake ? there is a photo showing the engine.

looks fine to me, the first numbers are probably generic and the last 5 or so are added at production, go check any kawasaki in a dealers for comparison

It was that both '9's looked completely different, if the dealer stamped they on would they not look the same?

they look the same to me, good consistent gap between all the numbers and upto the edge, go look round your nearest kawasaki dealer, and take a copy of the pic with you on a phone

I,ve never seen any modern bike with numbers that have not been stamped in perfectly characters, perfectly aligned and l,ve owned alot of motorbikes.


Looks like the right hand set of numbers have been grinded off and new ones stamped on.

looks good to me i have 4 kawasakis here look same to me i even just went out n looked to compair

If the engine was dodgy, why would he/she bother putting a pic of it up on eBay? It's not like every other advert has it.
