I've been searching online for an open faced helmet for a while that was pin striped haven't managed find one that is legal in the uk. As I doubt I will be going the show on the 25th November.

Found this one for £10 it is G-Mac though has anyone heard of them before, they are a sub make from nitro racing.

I have a GMAC. Had it for over 3 years. Been a great helmet. Never had a single problem with it. Thankfully I have never had to use it before but it has held up really well considering it gets used most days of that 3 year ownership.

Paid £50 for it (but you can buy the same helmet on ebay for £30 - well you could anyway, dont know if they are still on it, but they were the last time I looked).

Was originally going to buy a yellow one but they never had it in my size so I took a black one instead and I am glad I did cos I dont have a yellow bike now (this was the intial reason for looking for a yellow helmet).

Got a black visor for it as well. Which makes it look well cool ! Rolling Eyes

After tasting the open faced riding a lot different to full faced, it feels a lot better than a clogged helmet, I'm getting a full faced helmet anyway from a link I posted the other day which was £20 from lids direct as a backup. Don't want to spend over £40 on a helmet at the moment just until I get used to the riding less stress over replacing then.

MY chin is too big anyway could do with a bit of squashing

These are designed by MonteCarlo R&D and are really good. I had a flip-front for a year until I swapped to a Caberg to get a drop-down sun visor. The G-MAC rated 4 on the Sharp scale the same as the Caberg which is as good as you are likely to get on a flip-front. The finish is better than my Caberg.

First of all sorry for the big pictures would make them smaller if I could

Thanks brago, had to get one on order no matter what due to an incident with pretend bad boy racers wanting to down a motorbike.
They swerved in front of me when I was coming around a corner so I had to ditch into the grass bank or risk going without a bus 4 against 1 I had to go for the bank, only damage I can see is scratches on the tank as well as bent mud guard/loose mirror and dripping from the left hand side most prob carb.

Oh and one of my weird pics I was told I resemble doug

G-MAC are made by Nitro helmets - Cheap and cheerful, but not at all bad.

I had a couple (white for winter, and a black for other times), they arent up to the standards of other manufacturers, but for the ££ they lasted me well for a few years, and always looked well enough.

Have a look at the 'airbag' helmet - adjustable much like an inflatable breast inplant!!!

Yeah after posting this they don't have my noggin in size (large) so had to go over to lids direct and order a Box Bx-2R (4 star rating) it was either that or the LID, which I couldn't find anything about on shark site about.

Ghost piss me off with that, they always pop up first in searches, but never have the sizes! When they do, they are never the cheapest anyway!

Did you try on the Box helmet? If not, jet to a Hein Gericke shop as they stock that brand (or did!)

Yeah same with a lot of lids websites to be honest or the one you like is always in another size.

I haven't tried the box helmet thought I'd take a risk/stab in the dark. Will check where my closest shop is think it is Newcastle, an take a nip down check.

Checked online for my current second hand helmet Takachi TK30 and the large is 1cm bigger. Than the size for the box however there is a bit of room not much but should suffice. Hopefully
