hi guys,

Right headscrathcher here, basically no headlights main or full beam i do have sidelights.

i started with a junction box just under right hand side intake cover took out all connections cleaned and reassembled same with left handle swithes replaced fuse box, fuses and bulbs.

i have continuity on all light cables ie blue yellow, red black and black yellow back to the junction box from the fuse box.

but here it gets interesting on the black yellow cable at the junction box if i start the engine i have no lights i should have main beam automatically i basically have to disconnect the black yellow and reconnect this cable while the engine is running boom we have both lights working up untill u turn the engine off. engine back on nothing disconnect reconnect lights on. this connection is good i have 12volts at it, i have cleaned it and tested this cable.

any frigging ideas.

Can't really add anything that you don't already know, looks like your in the right direction.

Only thing I will add is that I was having headlight problems on my B1H where the headlights were turning off mid ride (I know a little bit different from your scenario) and it turned out to be a corroded connection coming down to the junction box so double check everything round there!

just an update to my fault..

was out a blast today got back just as i pulled into my drive way
bike cut out.

so i charged the battery up then started the bike up only to find i was only getting 13.3V at battery whilst engine was running.

i probed about found that one phase of the alternator connection had fell out reconnected it now 14.5V at battery and my lights came
back on by themselve without me fiddling about with them.

Thought i would let folk know about this.
