I'm not part of the region to ask there, and others may have been done by this so i'm asking as an advisory:

My old man ordered form this site, some HDD or other but costing 80quid irrc.. 6 months later the goods dont appear so he researches and finds out "B4U direct" is a scam thing and a few people were daft enough to not do research before they 'got a deal' so my question is, do any BCF'ers reside within a quick trek of 95 Broad Street, Birmingham to check out whether the unit is still in use before I go down there looking for my dads missing money?....

Cheers. Karma

You want a good laugh......

Just read their T/C

But seriously... WTF did he wait 6 months for delivery..... Given that he had to have paid by card. he has no lost hope a getting the cash back via his card provider as its now over 120 days....

Unless he has a email from them stating a later delivery date, that brings it back within the 120 days..

Hope that helps. Karma

As said Broad St is just clubs and slappers being sick, I suppose that there could be a few people living above bars but there are no industrial units there.

Its right opposite China Red...

Clubs one side of the street and there is a building with a arch in on the other. Would guess that it is in there.

I'm just passing on a request, I wasn't aware of the situation until I posted.

I would guess iooi is correct, I checked google and it came up with some modernish looking place but that could upto a couple months out of date and retail tenants can do a bunk overnight if they're dodgy.

He says he emailed again today and got a reply that he was informed earlier of the situation, I know it's untrue because I wasn't told in passing comment.

Their terms:

Quote:
5. Availability

Please note that we will honour your order while stock is available.
In the event where one of the products ordered is not in stock, we will contact you in less than 15 days as of your order date to inform you how long it will be before we are able to deliver the product.

If there are certain products that are temporarily unavailable, we will send the available products and will pay the shipping fees for the rest of the order.

We will offer you a replacement for an unavailable product, a product of equal price and quality. If you choose to refuse, we will reimburse the unavailable product.

None of the above was adhered to, on their part. Thumbs Down

They are not a retail tenant, or any kind of shop or unit. Confused

The website describes quite clearly what they do, you order via them, pay them and they get the goods delivered direct to you from an overseas supplier. This is fraught with problems cos of different postal and courier services, import/export charges etc but if set up properly it can work OK.

The address is likely to be at best just a small office, more likely a maildrop address, you are wasting your time going there.

If your dad has ordered goods which haven't been supplied and has exhausted the standard customer service route then he needs to find out what legal entity (company? person?) owns the business and sue them in the small claims court.

They were 'based' at that address, legally. I dont care whether post was picked there or they sat in there 9-5.

They're apparently refunding asap, but, meh. their dealing method is shoddy.

Check 'the internet' for them, seems they have built a reputation around such behaviour, poor show.
