 |
|
My favorite winding road near my house is 40km/h limited.
To tell the truth, most of winding road here are 40km/h.
(You can see "40km" paint on "Japanese ghost rider" youtube video too).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOPxC7K09cA
How can we enjoy or practice winding riding below 40km/h?
I'm not good at cornering. To practice at winding I need to ride faster than 40km/h at winding but this risks my license
Most of driver and riders drives at 55 or 60 at 40 road. Even police car is driven at such speed(with red light flashing). (They can drive faster with red light). This is apparently speed limit is too low here. I'm envious of NSL road in UK. ____________________ own:2020 Serow 250

Unrelated thread hijack here.
You posted a video ages ago on here. Off youtube, a motorbike going along a road you called a "skyline". I can't find it anywhere. I remember it being a really good video.
To enjoy sub 40km/h is hard. That is tractor speed here |

I never switched to a Japanese licence the entire time I was in Japan and they couldn't handle my international one. I basically had a licence to speed. They only 'caught' me twice anyway.
Mt Heisan in Kyoto was similar to the one posted in the OP, though with less long straights. T'was a glorious 10km of madness much loved by all the Kyoto nutters (both cars and bikes). ____________________ "There's the horizon! Ride hard, ride fast and cut down all who stand in your way!" |

Have you considered going back to a smaller, slower bike for riding those roads? I can't imagine it's much fun doing that speed on the TDM. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
