Came off on way to work this morning. Worst part is it was my flatmates bike since I need to service mine this weekend.
Was going over a busyish roundabout and when turning to exit, the bastard just lost the back wheel and slid out from beneath me..

Picked myself up before i had even finished skidding (nearly hit a railing) and looked for the not so trusty steed (flatmate wanted me to test it out due to it feeling wobbly in turns).
It had stopped 20 feet up the road narrowly missing a car coming the other way.
Broken brake lever, fusked right fairing and a cracked engine casing. Only person who stopped to check on me was the guy who's car the bike almost hit. (another biker of course)
I picked the mess up from the road and pushed it to the pavement. Rac don't covet accidents as standard so muggins here pushed it 2 miles home. On train to work now, blame spelling errors on autocorrect.

From then on, I and the bicycle feelings deeper.

Sucks, i lost the front of my bicycle yesterday, i now know 100% that 700cc road wheels are for... the road... Slippery underpasses and me trying to kerb hop = painful right wrist.

(flatmate wanted me to test it out due to it feeling wobbly in turns).

Sounds to me that the bike was at fault.
Are the tyres ok?, wheels tight enough?, steering bearings tight?
As long as you are ok, that is the main thing, worth getting the machine checked out though, before something worse happens.
Sorry to about your fall.

Flatmate got home early from offshore. Was more concerned that I was alright which is always good from your best mate for years. Told me that he doesn't want any compensation since he is worried the bike is a deathtrap.

I had been riding it for a few weeks before binning it and told him it started to feel better round corners (had written it off as him being cautious as a new rider). It was just a bit "quirky" to handle. Luckily it was another TT600 so not worth a huge amount (particularly to him) but still feel shit at coming off it.

Arm hurts like fuck and got a bit of a limp but managed to get through the working day (to the surprise of my colleagues at turning up) no problem.
Only going about 30-35mph when came off, so could probably do more damage to yourself on a pushbike.

Sucks doesn't it. Similar situation with me a couple months back with the AA.

Glad to hear you're ok, and your mate sounds like a top bloke.

Go and get your arm checked out tho Thumbs Up
