Okay dudes, been told two things. Basically your 2 year restriction starts when you get your licence, is this bike licence, or ANY licence!?

Passed my car test just over a year ago, and about to pass bike test very soon, will the restriction start when i pass the bike test, or when I passed the car test?

Many thanks Razz

Are you for real?

The 2 year 25kW restriction on your class A motorcycle entitlement begins when you pass your motorcycle test (on an A2 class 121-125cc bike capable of 100kph+).

You are confusing the bike power restriction with the 2 year 6 points rule.

If you get 6 points within the first 2 years of passing the first driving test you sit then you go back to provisional and have to sit a test again.

33bhp restriction lasts 2 years from the date you pass your bike test.

Ah right fair enough. Cheers. That's handy then, so as soon as I hit July I can take up to 12 points. Smile Ta.

Ah, insightful. It's not quite as bizarre a question as it appeared.
