Bought a 2nd hand textile jacket off eBay, only to find the zip is missing a 'tooth' (for want of a better term) so that when the zip gets to that point it becomes stuck.

I was wondering if textile jacket zips can be easily repaired/replaced/altered (like with leather ones), because i could perhaps offer this option to the seller, rather than returning the whole thing at their cost, as i do otherwise like the jacket.

You can get a new zip fitted, it would have cost at least £30 more likely £40-£50

Yeah, reckon between £10 and £20 - look for a local alteration service - doesn't have to specifically be for biker stuff - hell my Mrs could sort that on her sewing machine in 10 mins.

Look for a dry cleaners with a sewing machine in the window, they'll alter/repair almost anything.
