Low-sided this morning on the commute. Mad

Went to filter between moving lanes of traffic and the gap between two white vans suddenly wasn't there any more. I braked as I normally do but the front was on a white line or something as it washed out. I recently cleaned my brakes and they are uber-sharp at the mo.

Bike spun and slid into the side kerb with me following. Bike has a holed genny cover, bent bars, smashed indicators and cracked tail plastics. Me - nothing.

Paint diagram to follow. Mr. Green

Atleast you're ok. Can the bike be patched up or is it too far gone?

Sam.

Close call, you hit any other vehicles or did your bike do the right thing and avoid them?

Glad you are unharmed Thumbs Up .

Cool story, good to hear you're OK, but ...

Some joker painted a white line between the lanes? Inconceivable! Wink

Bike will be patched up - already ordered a new mirror and engine casing.

Donny - Luckily the spinning wreck managed to miss everything - or at least not damage any other vehicle. A guy in a van muttered something about no damage and drove off so I guess it was a lucky one.

Roger - Yes multi-layered hamfisted fucktardery on my part. Plus the fact I was going too fast for conditions etc etc. My brakes are too keen now however which didn't help.

Yea, lucky no other vehicles were involved (or so I'm presuming, it seems). Stuff like this is why I'd quite like an ABS bike for town filtering.

But seriously, couldn't they use paint that's a bit less slippery or something?

Unlucky, I hate it when they close in when you're about to filter!

Wasn't just after blackwall tunnel this morning was it? There was a bike at side of road with police there?

They probably could, but it'll likely take some Waaahmbulance court cases to make them do it.

Sorry to hear about the off!

Those white lines or even worse the 6" cats eyes on the road that get me. The ol ass tightens up like a clam when your back wheel slides off the side of one of those buggers when your filtering between to artics....
