I know there's a calender on this website but my new 2012 calender arrived today.
I've already got 3 dates in it & will quickly fill up more spaces.
Essential biker kit.
No need to be online to check dates etc.
Plus it also helps the charity Very Happy
Air Ambulance calender.

You may need to search for other regions ??

As the Air Ambulance is a favorite bikers charity I'm surprised at the comments so far.
I dare say many don't give them a second thought or even realise what an Air Ambulance does.
Perhaps then some would like to take time out & have a look at the website in general especially the missions & success stories.

I know what an air ambulance is thanks (clue is somewhat in the description).

There are lots of charities all doing good work, and its impossible to support them all, just because I ride a bike, why should this get my vote over the others ?

I think I would rather be wearing a helmet than a calender in the event of the crash. It is therefore not essential....

I smoke like a chimney so should I give it to British Heart Foundation ? MacMillan cancer support ? Cancer Research UK ? Much more likely to be beneficial to me in the long run...

Should I split my quid into tuppences and give one to each of 50 charities that might benefit me in the future ?

Kind of like a normal ambulance, only up in the air?

I actually agree to some negative comments.
Some are opinions or attitude without knowledge or experience though perhaps.
My interest in the MAA started when I saw the photo & personal message the flight crew & medics sent to a family of a biker who didn't survive a collision with a tractor in Wales & yes I did know him.
No further action untill I went on a rideout supporting the MAA, there I met a surviver that was a car driver at the time, there is no doubt the MAA saved his life.
Since then I decided to buy a few things from the online shop & spread the word sort of thing.
I fully respect the simple fact everyone has freedom of choice & respect the replies here regardless of agreeing or not with them.
So to reply I will just add I've also seen the MAA take off for three life saving missions, the logo on the side says funded by people like you.
If you want to add a negative comment to this post all I ask is that you at least look at the website, look at the missions & survivor stories first & read why people like us are so important.
If It's not your thing, fine, absolutely fine but please don't word replies to the manner that It's something to be avoided.
After all, many more have read these comments & not added their own than those that have replied so it's not fair that some one who just might be interested is put off by someone who is not especially if the negative comments are made without having experience or knowledge about the service they provide & cost of it all.

Do I need a calender? Nope. The local Chinese delivery guys bring me one every year when I order from them and the kids tend to love it so much it goes on the wall. This years one is still there.

Air Ambulance? Personally I think its disgusting that it has to rely on public charity donations. Considering its saved more than enough people and 9 times out of 10 its first on the scene in a serious motorcycle accident on the motorway. It should be government funded.

It absolutely should, the AA (and I don't mean the spanners in trucks) is the 4th Emergency Service, tying with the RNLI.

Both of these charities added together operate on under £200 million, which is essentially pocket lint on the national scale. When I think of the multi-billion £££ bailouts given to bankers to cover their gambling losses so that they can keep Bentley in business, it really does boil my piss.

So, yes, we shouldn't have to fund the AA and RNLI ourselves, but there it is, we can fund them or lose them.
