Been looking online and can't find anything about the company JR Marketing Concepts?

I have an interview with them in Cardiff on Monday and wan't to do a bit of research to see what they are all about.

Any ideas? I know there are loads of people on here that can seemingly retrieve information from nowhere.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Here's what I applied to: https://www.jobswales.co.uk/vacancy/30055226/wanted...+leisure+++tourism+experience+wanted++

Yeah, I know. I had an interview like this before in London, and it turned out to be a scam. They gave me an interview that was full on, and made me feel like id failed, then at the end said congratulations you have got the job... now all you have to do is pay for all this equipment you will need, and the 1800.00 quid training which we will pay half to make it 900, and you will be earning over 50 grand a year....Um..... Yeah right. Thanks for wasting my time.

It just concerns me that I can't find any info, and the fact they got back to me the next day about the job after submitting to a job website.

Alarm bells are ringing, however the lady I talked to sounded nice enough, and they have sent me an email confirming times etc. Guess I will see what they say when I rock up on Monday.

Not listed on companies house under JR Marketing Concepts. Which would start alarm bells ringing with me.

Poss it is a new company given the number of jobs that Reed have for them Here
Each post does have a little bit about hte job, but stuff like this...

Damn, was hoping this could be a potential job. Although alarm bells did ring, that hope of landing any job right now makes me want to ignore the bells.

Fuck sakes... If this turns out to be a shitty scam I won't be happy. They did say smart business dress which gibes hope.

Well thank you for looking. I'll go anyway and see what the crack is. At least interview nerves are going to be low now.

Whats her email address after the @? If its gmail.com or some shizzle then I'd think twice about it being a proper marketing company.

That. But honestly, a marketing company without any marketable presence? Fuggedaboudit. Get back on the phone, ask for their company number and why they don't have their own domain. You're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing you.

Just checked and it's @gmail

I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

What should I ask them?... Like where is their website? Or why can't I find anything about you?

I'm going to go regardless to get a bit of interview experience as I'm a bit rusty. Hmmm bit gutted though was looking forward to the chance of having a job.

Uh... company number (that you can verify at Companies House), how clients can find or contact them without any web presence, and whether you'll be asked to pay for any training - they already expect you to do a free day's work for them.

I'd venture that you're just wasting your time, but if you go in with a "no, you sell the job to me" attitude it might be a laugh.

Anything that says no experience needed is almost certainly a scam at worst.

At best its one of those no base pay commission only jobs where you end up knocking on doors and make sod all.

That's commission-only door-to-door selling I reckon, and I think it's quite possible that they will ask you to buy a "kit" to get you started and then tell you that they expect you to work self-employed.

Always beware of any job ad that only gives you an OTE figure, cos they are usually bollocks. Any decent sales co will give you an OTE but state what the underlying basic is at the same time.

Hope I'm wrong but suspect you are on a hiding to nothing with this one....... Sad

You know, I think your right. Been trying to figure out what they could mean by face to face marketing rather than telephones. Has to be some door to door bolocks.

Well I'm going into it with my eyes wide open so should be able to see pretty quick if they are buttering me up. I picked up the last one where they tried to make me part with cash. The good thing is I get paid per mile by the Job centre to go there so if/when it becomes obvious that it's door to door I will have got there cheap, and meet some mates in Cardiff after.

There are very few benefits of being out of work but staying in bed until 11am is one of them, this is not worth getting out of bed for IMHO.

Earnings are accumulated on a daily basis, and rewarded only on completed sales
