Now then Patrick, no need for that attitude....do you think l'm so stupid that I don't expect to be vetted by anyone wanting to make some money by renting their 'bike?
I will be able to give references & phone #'s to any genuine "renter" & will also put a deposit on the bike which may well be whatever the resale value of it is.

PS, Paddy, I wouldn't have a bike from you if you were giving them away with ever BJ you give to other forum members!!! Middle Finger .... Wink

example of why someone wouldnt rent thier bike to a total stranger

resale value of complete bike = £600
resale value of bike broken down for parts = £800+

Wow, you sound charming. As it were I;

A - Couldn't lend you a bike.
B - Wouldn't lend a bike to a supposed yank. That's if your profile is correct.

Cheer up miserable.

Also learn to quote, crusty Wink

You're probably best off asking among people who actually know you. Failing that, I'm sure there are bike rental agencies in the UK that you could use.

Bike loans are less prevalent over here, largely because many of us have less available cash to throw at keeping a stable of bikes (i.e. considering bikes loanable or disposable) than many riders in the US do. At least, that's the impression I've gotten in the past from American forums, anyway.

Also, it's worth not taking repeated pops at established members, because you really won't last long if that's your modus operandi.

hmmm.... I know someone that is willing to rent/lend a GPz 750 for only £400.... comes complete with a tub of bolts but no instructions as to where they go. But it's OK I have some bent safety pins holding some (not too critical) parts together, like the chain tensioner, engine mount, radiator etc.

When you borrow it though, you might need to have it taxed MOT'ed and insured, you can cancel the insurance but if you'ld be so kind as to leave the tax and MOT on there that would be great thanks... oh, almost forgot, it will probably need a bit of work before the MOT, so if you could just do the odd little bits and pieces here and there to get it through Thumbs Up

You prolly would have a harrd time if I did start with the insults, but while you have dipshits like Paddy on here who some of you seem to treat like a demi-God, what chance has an ex-Bolton guy got?
(Yes, for the other dipshit who jumps to conclusions after not reading the "I'm coming back to England" bit, or SHUD I DO IT IN BIGGER LETTERS FOR YOU>>>?)

I'm sure we'll amuse each other until one of you little girls runs to the mods squeeling like a stuck pig about me!!!!!(but hey,l've been banned from bigger & better biker's websites than this po-dunk little effort!)
