Might actually be handy (ho ho) for pushbikers at night. Yes, yes, never trust that someone's seen your indicator and all that jazz, but those of us who actually bother to give a hand signal are doing so because we want it to be seen.

LEDs on the 1st and 2nd finger might help with some handsignals, handy for the near-SMIDSY.
A glowing one of these essentially Middle Finger
