This is going to cost a small fortune. Plus there's the issue of ownership should it ever be completed.

i just want to see what a few hundred peoples expertise, experience and knowledge can achieve when combined into a joint project done for a non profit gain other than making a good bike. but shame on me for expecting anything else than trolls. the idea was for a bit of fun .

We can put an ideal bike together in theory, just in practice there are far too many hurdles and far too many egos to work with.

Just saying Laughing

Cant we just get someone to design an engine, some arty bugger to design a frame and fairing for it and then get chris to design the turbo?

To what end are you doing this?

I've had a similar ideas for a crowd designed bike; but to do something like this you really need to have some solid basis for doing it.

And of course the basis really needs to be offering something that you can't already buy from the pages of autotrader.

Your idea doesn't seem to have any real intention as to what you're doing it - perhaps the first thing to design should be this?
