As its winter, (the season to be jolly... not, more like bankrupt!) i was wondering if anyone knows of any good biker movies..?

-Post apocalyptic (mad max style)
-bike gangs (hells angels/outlaws etc)

Or anything decent for that matter! Laughing

cheers!

That and Mondo Enduro (which is more of a documentary) are the only ones that I'd bother watching.

I quite enjoy Freebird, I went with the North BCF lot to go and watch and now have it on DVD. Most people say it is crap however.

There is a good article in Decembers issue of 'Ride' magazine about biker films.

They do say that one to miss is 'Wild Hogs'

No.

Terra nova and Dust to Glory are both docu-films definitely worth a watch however.
Also, think there's a feature length thing about when Travis Pastrana did the Erzburg.
Also, all of the nitro circus TV series.

It's a series rather than a film, but I've just started watching sons of anarchy. Seems pretty decent from the first couple of episodes though it's not what I'd normally watch. And some of the bikes in it even look slightly normal! (can anyone identify any of them?) Rather than the cramp inducing chopper type bikes like the one seen in The Walking Dead.

Seriously; how can that be comfortable? I'm confused..

Biker Boyz isn't actually that bad until they do the final 10 minute long drag race on a farm dirt track...

Oh that's the other thing that struck me about the bike in walking dead, the fuel tank looks like it has a 2 mile range. Totally inappropriate for a post apocolyptic mode of transport.

Depends what you want it for. It is a comedy and not bad at that.

All the best

Seeing that torque has been mentioned, maybe this title of similar quality:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1050166/

Definitely worth watching On any Sunday however.

Wild Hogs is actually brilliant if you understand the "scene".

The Wild Hogs are a group of middle class men who just want to ride (When their wives let them).

They get on the wrong side of a backpatch gang and the japes start from there. It's hilarious.

One film I remember from my childhood is "Stone". It's an Australian film from the early eighties about an undercover cop who infiltrates a "bikie" gang.

Another one from the nineties is "Stone Cold". This time it's set in the USA and the undercover cop is played by the American Football player Brian Bosworth and the baddie is played by Lance Henriksen.

Another vote for 'Silver Dream Racer' from me.

OK, the plot line is a bit thin and the back projected racing scenes are pretty shonky, but at least it's properly about a man and a bike, and it's got a twist in the tail.

Plus it's got everybody's favourite gypo chic popstar in it, David Essex; back in the day, every bird wanted to shag him and every bloke wanted to look like him, so he was uber cool at the time.

If you don't expect too much from it, it's an entertaining watch.
