Hi

If you have had a full car licence that long then you also have a full moped licence (assuming UK licence, and that the DVLA haven't lost it at some point forcing you to retake your test). So no need for L plates.

Probably worth doing a CBT though just for the experience.

All the best

Keith

If you obtained your full car licence before 1 February 2001 you are automatically entitled to ride a moped without L-plates (D-plates in Wales).
If you obtained a full car licence after 1 February 2001 you must first complete a CBT course and obtain a DL 196 certificate to validate your entitlement.

Have fun, but be careful. Really you should consider doing a CBT for more safety training, it would also allow you to move up to a 125.

If i passed my driving test while i still held a valid CBT, does that effect lL plates on a 50?

Because one of my friends was riding around on his old 50 without L plates because he had passed his Driving test.

You'd still need L plates on Thumbs Up The "No L plates" thing only applies to people who had their car license ages ago, when it included a moped license.
