Hi all,

I'm hoping someone give me some information on the courses advertised to get people back on their bikes. We're looking at getting one for my dad, who has been riding for about 40 years on the old British bikes, (his last bike a Triumph Trident) and more recently he's been using my brother's hornet but struggles to get used to the differences in the bikes, i.e. no low end power in the hornet.
He's perfectly road safe, he just needs a morning or so with an instructor to get him used to a different riding style!

So I'd really like to know firstly if these courses are actually any good. Has anyone got experience of them?
And if they are any good, does anyone know of a training school that offers them in the Oxford/Bucks area?

Any help appreciated Very Happy

Surely the money spent on the training would be better spent on petrol and your dad just getting out there. If he's perfectly safe and knows how to use the bike then riding it is going to be a lot more use than an instructor going 'well...this is how you ride'

Tell him to use the gearbox more, changing down a gear or two will give him the grunt he needs.
