hi all,
im about to put the finishing touches to the rotax powerered 600cc sm, i have been working on, for what seems like an eternity!
all that seems to be left to do is the little fiddly jobs.
anyway, to hold the headlight bulb in, there should be a couple of wire clips, acting as springs.
i have lost mine.
are there genereic types of these rings available, as im pretty sure i've seen the very same design elswhere.
any ideas?
cheers,
GAZ

Try searching ebay under "rocking horse poo".

I think they are all slightly different. It may be simpler in the long run to get a new headlamp insert unless you can find the part number and order one direct from the manufacturer. Only place I've found them before is from old, smashed headlights. Breakers won't even sell them to you because it renders the rest of the light useless.

You can buy the "W-clips" that hold the reflector into the rim and you can buy the clips that hold the rim onto the shell but I've never seen the one that holds the bulb into the reflector for sale seperately.

Is it a particularly special headlamp? You can pick up 250LC replica headlamps pretty cheaply (think utterly bog-standard round motorcycle headlamp for about £25).
